Software: What does 100% dose actually mean? (Overdose)

All of the measurements on Peak are gauged towards overexposure as an expression of Dose. We use dose as it simple to understand as a percentage and does not require the Peak user to know what the exact noise Noise Action Value is set as.

Please see here for more information about Action Values

This makes the system much easier to understand with the focus on how much operatives have been exposed, rather than the actual numbers that have gone into the calculation.

Note: This page is based on the relevant literature at this time but may be subject to change in the future.

Currently 100% of Dose in Peak is based on a daily working pattern that is 8 hours long and 85dB(A) as our Noise Action Value. This has been determined based on the legal limits in the United Kingdom (See the HSE exposure tables below: HSE Daily, HSE Weekly)

Peak: Currently the working period (Duration) and the Noise Action Value of 85dB(A) is a hardcoded value by Eave in Peak.
