Understanding User Roles
User Account Roles are used as pre-sets to define the level of access required for a given user in the Peak web application. All user accounts require a validated email address and can only possess one User Role at any time.
Types of User Roles
There are currently 4 User Roles, these are as follows:
- Supervisor
- Manager
- Reporting
- API Access
Not all roles are able to manage other User Accounts and configure others. The only two accounts that can grant access to Peak are Supervisors and Manager user Roles.
Each role has a specific purpose but is not necessary to use all of the available roles, in order to use the Peak application to it's fullest.
The following page gives more detail about each of the User Roles and their limitations and the way in which you can use them.
Note: Once users are created their Roles can still be changed at a later point.
