Device Assignment

Once you have added your Operatives and headsets into a Workgroup, the final step is to assign the headsets.

Assigning a headset in Peak ensures that hearing protection data is paired with the correct user and a protection profile can be created.

Headsets can be assigned and unassigned throughout a project if the kit gets damaged or the user changes.

To Assign a headset go to the Exposure page and select Headset Assignment located in the top right of the screen.

In this view all headsets available to you are shown and you can filter down further until you can see the headset you are looking to assign or unassign.

Once you are ready select Change Assignments to begin editing.

Once you are in the edit mode you will be able to Assign an available headset to an Operative by selecting the Blue Plus icon shown on the left side of the screen

You will also be able Unassign a headset where applicable by selecting the Red Cross icon shown on the right side of the screen.

If you select the blue circle to Assign a pop-up window will be displayed as shown below.

From this window you will be able to type to search for the Operative you wish to assign the headset to.

(If you are unable to find the Operator please check that they exist in the Personnel section and that they are assigned to the correct WorkGroup in order to be paired with this device.)

Once you are finished click Saveand the changes will be committed.

Once all changes are completed you can select Stop Editing to return to the Headset Assignment view.

From the Edit mode you are also able to apply a manual label to a headset, this can be used when you are not managing your Operatives in Peak.

Note: If you do not assign an operative then protection profiling to monitor historical exposure for an individual will be unavailable.
