Adding New Devices


To start using our hearing protection in Peak you will first need to assign the device to a Workgroup.

For each device you deploy you need to assign it in the UI through Peak to a Workgroups before you can see the data recorded.

If you are not rolling out all of your hardware at once, you can assign it as and when they are being deployed. If a project is completed you can then move the kit from one project to another.





To Assign a headset to a Workgroup on first setup, go to the Exposure page and select Headset Assignment located in the top right of the screen.




To continue to add a new Device or move an existing one between Workgroups select the Manage Devices option located in the top right of the screen.




The following popup will be displayed giving you the two options Allocate New Headset or Re-allocate Headset.

The first option is to add new hardware that has not been used before into Peak.

The second option allows existing headsets to be moved between Workgroups.



The Depending on the option selected you will see one of the following two screens below displayed.

The Re-Allocate option requires you to enter or select the Headset ID from the drop down and then search or select the two Workgroups you are moving the headset between.



The Allocate New Headset similarly requires the Headset ID to be entered or selected. Once this has been selected and a Workgroup chosen selecting the Save option will commit the changes.


If you receive new equipment you can self deploy this in the Peak product using the Allocate New Headset screen above.


Note: Like operatives, hardware can only be assigned to one Workgroup at any time.
