User Account Management

Peak user account management allows you to give others access to the Peak application to view or administrate as required.

The Permissions model allows you to enable and disable access as required to Workgroups and the Operatives and hardware being monitored in each.

There are two user Account Roles in Peak Supervisors and Managers. The following guide will explain how these roles interact with each other.

To start User Account Management you need to access the Accounts page in Peak.

This page will show you all of the User Accounts that you have permission to view. Supervisors can see all User Accounts across all Workgroups.

Managers can only see User Accounts in the Workgroups they have access to. You can see your current account role in the top left of the screen below your username.

There are three main functions on the Accounts page. You have the ability to create new users using the Add User button on the top right of the screen.

You have the ability to Edit existing accounts by selecting the pencil icon that is inline with that account located on the right hand side.

You also have the ability to enable & disable accounts using the Active/Inactive toggle inline for each account row.

If an account is marked as Inactive the user will no longer be able to authorised to access Peak.

To add a new user select the Add Userbutton and you will be presented with the following screen.

If the user you are trying to create is a Supervisor you will only need to provide a valid email address and a password and confirmation.

Once this has been done and validation has been passed you should be able to select the Createbutton.

Note: Once a user account has been created the user will first need to verify their email address using the confirmation email they will have been sent from identity@eave.io

If the user attempts to login from an unverified account, they will receive a message telling them they do not have access to the Peak application.

All verification email links expire if not used within 72 hours. If this has occurred and the user can no longer verify their account please contact us at support@eave.io.

Note: when deploying new user accounts you will need to specify a minimum strength password for user authentication. By default the global settings in Peak require these to be the following:

At least 8 characters, at least 1 number, at least 1 upper case and lower case characters, at least 1 special character.
